Then hope unlooked-for came so suddenly to Eomer’s heart, and with it the bite of care and fear renewed, that he said no more, but turned and went swiftly from the hall.
Stern now was Éomer’s mood, and his mind clear again. He let blow the horns to rally all men to his banner
that could come thither; for he thought to make a great shield-wall at
the last, and stand, and fight there on foot till all fell, and do deeds
of song on the fields of Pelennor, though no man should be left in the
West to remember the last King of the Mark. So he rode to a green hillock and there set his banner, and the White Horse ran rippling in the wind.
Everyone here remembers Eomer, right? Strong warrior, loving brother, and true friend to his allies. A lil bit stubborn and maybe a bit hot-tempered *cough cough gimli cough cough* but an all around great guy.
But what I really want you to think about for a bit is Eomer the fanboy, who is so enamored with Aragorn that he won’t shut up about them getting to hang out. When they first meet, he’s so impressed that he gives Aragorn a cool nickname and everything
And there they promise to “draw swords together”, something both of them are really pretty hype about
On the way to Helms Deep he makes sure he gets to ride next to Aragorn, thus creating the Friendship Formation
In Helms Deep they finally get to battle together, with cool matching sword yells!!
But does it end there, you ask? Is Eomer satisfied with that exciting bro moment? NO WAY. He still gets to team up with Aragorn at the battle of Pelennor fields, where they have a chill sword-leaning break before heading out to kick more ass
